Number Your Days: Use Your Time Wisely

I wanted to share a recent insight I learned from my devotional reading today.

Frequently, I use the free Bible app, since it has devotionals and other easy to use features that enhance my Bible reading time and understanding.

Today, I continued reading the plan Breathing Room, by Sandra Stanley, and a quote in the devotional struck me:

Knowing that your time is limited forces you to limit what you do with your time.

Stanley is referring to make time for what is important, knowing that your time is limited, and precious. She recommends making “breathing room” in various ways, so you can enjoy your life as a benefit of honoring God’s holy Sabbath.

Below are the Scripture Stanley referenced, to accompany her devotional:

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Psalms 90:12

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:15-17

Personally, I highly recommend this devotional. It contains scrumptious and nutritious food for thought, that is sure to grow your faith.

Happy reading and observe your restful Sabbath day!
